Troubleshooting of toggle switch
Poor electrical characteristics: contact location: reasons for speculation:
(1) Poor contact: adherence to impurities, dust, etc.; (2) water and other liquids enter; by the surrounding harmful gases, the contact surface produced a chemical film; in the low load area of the switch lead to the contact surface produced a chemical film; welding flux into; silicon gas near the switch.
Solution: eliminate the cause. Or pack it into a box and use a sealed switch (waterproof toggle switch); replace it with an environmentally friendly switch (gold, alloy, etc.); reexamine the welding method; remove the material that produces silicon. Or adjust the contact capacity, so that the silicon can not be generated on the contact point.
Malfunction: the contact is broken by vibration and impact.
Solution: replace the switch with strong contact force (usually larger load switch).
Melt: load exceeds the switching capacity of the contact point.
Solution: High capacity relay, electromagnetic relay load switch or insert contact protection circuit.
(4) Insulation deterioration (burnout): arc leads to contact fusion; high temperature, environmental temperature changes greatly, many droplets enter; liquid into and arc thermal carbonization.
Solutions: High-capacity relays, electromagnetic relays for load switching or inserting contact protection circuit; High-capacity relays, electromagnetic relays for load switching; Eliminate the reasons. Or install the sealed switch in the box.
Poor mechanical properties:
1. driving position: reasons for speculation:
(1) Poor movement: the driving part is subjected to excessive external force, the moving part is worn; mixed with impurities, dust, oil and other foreign bodies; the action object is too heavy to reset; the switch is not tightly installed, shaking and unable to move in the prescribed position. Solution: eliminate the cause. Or use a strong auxiliary drive rod, etc., to eliminate the cause. Or use a sealed switch; switch to a large load switch; re check the fastening force of the switch.
Low life: the shape of the block and cam is not suitable, the operation method is not appropriate and the operation speed is too fast. The solution is to change the design of the block and cam, re study the operation stroke and operation speed.
(3) Damage: excessive impact loads such as striking, bad riveting and assembly of riveting parts, deformation, shedding, excessive force exerted on the driving parts, and the direction of the application of the force is wrong. Solution: eliminate the cause. Or switch to a stronger switch; replace the switch; re check the direction of use and operation.
2. Installation location: breakage: screw tightening tilt, too much tightening force, installation pitch deflection, installation surface uneven.
Solution: Re-check the insertion method of the screw; Re-check the fastening force; Modify the pitch; Repair the fitting surface.
3. terminal part: breakage: excessive operation of wiring operation and heat of soldering lead to deformation of plastic material.
Solution: eliminate causes and shorten welding time. Or reduce the temperature of soldering iron.
